26 Wrestlers Headed to State!

As a team, Mariner girls placed fourth in the district tournament, with 11 competing and eight moving on as qualifiers. As a team, Mariner boys placed fourth. Overall, Mariner crushed it, sending 16 qualifiers to state! Kamiak was awesome, placing sixth at the district tournament and sending eight to state!Congratulations to all the outstanding athletes on a fantastic season at both schools. Best of luck at state:

Kamiak girls:
Eden Cole, Lillian Burgess, Zoe Boyce-Ullom, Brianna Cortes Patino, and Mylee Reyes.
Kamiak boys: Topher Nelson, Ian Park, and Jaiden Yoon.
Mariner girls: Belyini Pascasio-Umana, Isabela Alvarez, Sehar Sheikh, Jeohnavi Bandoy, Jannethzy Cortes-Hernandez, Amareli Hernandez, Ujin Ugedei, Airianna Gilbraith, and Marlene Lopez Trujillo. 🎉😀
Mariner boys: Zach Winterroth, Isaac Apodaca, Dawnte Greene, Alejandro Parra, Shawn Anker, Antonio Alvarez, Ken David Larsen, Daniel Galeana, and Chase Scheuerman.

Mariner held a all-school State Send-off for its wrestlers. Assistant Principal Jon Atkins shared, "Congratulations to our 16 Marauder qualifiers and a huge thank you to our coaches for their leadership, dedication, and heart this season." Go, Marauders and Knights! 🎉🎉🎉😀
