Dear Horizon Families,

 I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such a rich tradition of education!  I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than nineteen years.  I have worked with a variety of students ranging in age from Kindergarten through third grade as well as in various social economic environments. I am excited and eager to bring my skills as an educational leader to Horizon Elementary School and work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child's success.

My responsibility as Principal of Horizon Elementary is first and foremost to help continue and ensure a culture of knowledge and learning.  I support our teachers as they teach, our students as they learn and you, our families, as you join us in our devotion to knowledge and learning.  You will find me each day in the classrooms, hallways, lunchroom, bus lines, and at the doors greeting the students as they begin another day at Horizon Elementary. 

Along with the teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established by Horizon Elementary by building strong relationships with parents, students and community partners.  We will focus on social emotional learning, Common Core skills, the use of data to drive instruction, and to provide consistent implementation of the curriculum in a rigorous manner so that we can continue to increase all the students' achievement.

All of us at Horizon Elementary are eager and excited to continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant, and that will help them build relationships while making real-world connections.  As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-teachers, students and parents, and community partners are excited to be here!  This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.  My door is always open, and I welcome your input.  I welcome any questions or concerns you may have and can be reached by email or by phone.
